  1. Hi,
I was thrilled to stumble across your blog. Father O'Connor hired me as a houseparent at the orphanage 1971-72. All of the children came to my wedding June 1972. I still think of them so often and wonder how they are doing. I met a former resident last year who left before I worked there. She has had a wonderful life and still remembers Fr. O'Connor's guidance and kindness. I would love to hear from any of the children or staff: Rosalie, Rita, Sister Catherine, etc. I have photos of the Nazareth children at my wedding.
Blessings to all, Peggy Parham pparham@earthlink.net

  2. I don't know the name Tom Peatross, but I certainly know Floyd Pope... He made the most wonderful brownies...
My Mother and her 5 siblings all grew up at Nazareth. I wonder if anyone remembers the Gainey's?? 1940's and 50's. I am not in contact with my Mother's family and she had long since passed... I'm trying to do my ancestry and would love to hear any stories. Does anyone remember a Sister Julia Godwin? Father William Wellien (later Monsignor) When I was 8 we all went to the reunion at Nazareth in 1982.
Would love to hear from anyone...
My Mother was Jeanne Gainey.. Siblings are Catherine, Bernard, Harry, Nel, And Patsy.

    Thank you,

  3. We also had this photo of Nazareth in my home growing up and mother would tell stories about how her job was to take the laundry out to the laundry house which was the little building way out back.
